Signed. Dated. Irreplaceable.
The buckle is an original Duncan Laurie — cast solid brass, dated 1972, signed on the reverse. Laurie was one of the defining buckle designers of the American 1970s, and his pieces have been collected ever since. The flame motif is bold and fluid, worn to a deep golden patina over fifty years of existence. The kind of object that has already outlived most of what was made alongside it.
Paired with a 1½" strap of Havana Brown USA English Bridle leather — the finest belt leather made. Dense, slow-breaking, built to develop a burnished patina that only deepens with decades of wear. Nothing else comes close.

Built from three pieces.
This belt is constructed from three sections of black USA English Bridle leather, joined with solid brass rivets — a traditional belt-making technique that turns the seams into a design detail rather than hiding them. Each join is clean, flush, and built to hold indefinitely. Finished with an aged solid brass center bar buckle that's worn in before it reaches you.
English Bridle is the finest belt leather made. Dense, tightly tanned, and built to outlast everything in your wardrobe. The black deepens with wear and the structure never quits. Made in a 38" belt size, which is not the same as your pant size. Please measure with a tape through your belt loops before you order to make sure it fits.

The Handles: 8-10oz Hermann Oak English bridle, 23" long
The Hardware: Solid brass, available in natural brass or nickel plated
Dimensions: 13" wide x 10" tall x 5" floor
Cut from 10oz full grain Hermann Oak English bridle leather in Havana Brown, from the tannery that has been producing some of the finest leather in North America since 1881. The Caballero is designed and built entirely in Tacoma, Washington.
The silhouette draws from WWII-era Swedish military dispatch bags: compact, structured, no wasted geometry. Two front straps anchor the flap, and a detachable shoulder strap clips to solid brass hardware on every connection point. Not plated, not painted, solid. Each seam is stitched on a hand-cranked Weaver Cub, tight, consistent, and made to outlast the bag itself.
Bridle leather at this weight doesn't soften into something precious. It loosens up, absorbs your oils, and gets tougher with use, and Havana Brown deepens as it ages.

It loosens up, absorbs your oils, and gets tougher with use.

Before this hide became a bag, it was on a ranch — and whoever worked that land burned their mark into it: B/110, iron to leather, permanent. That brand is still there, front and center on the flap, exactly where it landed. Cut from 10oz full grain Golden brown/Cognac leather and built in Tacoma, Washington, the Caballero B/110 measures 9"x9" closed — two front straps, detachable shoulder strap, solid brass hardware throughout, and every seam run through a hand-cranked stitching pony. The live edge follows the hide's natural boundary, meaning the silhouette is partly the animal's, not just the maker's. Inspired by WWII Swedish military dispatch bags — compact, deliberate, nothing decorative that isn't also functional.

Cut from 10oz full grain Hermann Oak English bridle leather — the same tannery that's been producing some of the finest leather in North America since 1881 — the Caballero Noir is designed and built entirely in Tacoma, Washington.

The Caballero's deluxe edition, and the one that rewards patience. Built in Tacoma, Washington from 10oz full grain Hermann Oak Veg tanned leather — the body, the flap, the sewn-in shoulder strap, all of it.
Interior is lined in selvedge canvas, the kind of material that has its own cult following for the same reason the leather does — it's made right and it shows.
Stitched throughout on a hand-cranked stitching pony. At 9"x9" closed, it's the perfect size to take on a day out on the town.
Natural Hermann Oak bridle starts it’s life almost white, and darkens with every season of carry, pulling amber, then chestnut, then a deep burnished brown that's entirely your own.

Cut from a single hide. Carried like a statement.
The Folio is built from noir Latigo — full grain, veg-tanned, the kind of black that doesn't fade, it deepens. The flap is left live edge: the raw, natural boundary of the cowhide. No two are the same. No two ever will be.
Hand-stitched throughout with contrast thread. The shoulder strap is 3/4" wide water buffalo leather — impossibly soft, 44" long, worn crossbody or over the shoulder. All solid brass hardware and rivets throughout. Fits up to a 14" MacBook Pro. Stamped with the Rainy Leather Co. mark.
For the person who doesn't need to explain their taste.

Vintage cast brass bighorn ram buckle with heavy curled horns and a textured, hand-finished surface. The back is unmarked, so the maker is a mystery. Brass wears in rather than out, and it picks up a warm patina with use.
We paired it with a strap we make ourselves: 10oz full grain veg-tanned leather, hand dyed in our shop in Black Forest, a deep black with a dark green undertone, with solid brass Chicago screws.
