Signed. Dated. Irreplaceable.
The buckle is an original Duncan Laurie — cast solid brass, dated 1972, signed on the reverse. Laurie was one of the defining buckle designers of the American 1970s, and his pieces have been collected ever since. The flame motif is bold and fluid, worn to a deep golden patina over fifty years of existence. The kind of object that has already outlived most of what was made alongside it.
Paired with a 1½" strap of Havana Brown USA English Bridle leather — the finest belt leather made. Dense, slow-breaking, built to develop a burnished patina that only deepens with decades of wear. Nothing else comes close.
