The buckle is an original M. Foster piece, cast in solid pewter and dated 1972. Over fifty years old and still commanding. Paired with a 1.5" strap cut from USA English Bridle leather — one of the densest, most durable leathers available — hand-finished black edges, silver studs running the length.
English Bridle is firm out of the box and softens slowly with wear, eventually molding to the body while holding its shape for decades. The pewter buckle carries a natural patina built over half a century — it will only deepen.
